I am so grateful you have taken the time to come here today and learn more about me.
I am a mental health therapist and have been practicing for the past two years primarily working with adolescents and young adults. I am passionate about helping others discover themselves and work through the issues that get in the way. I love easing others anxiety, helping them feel normal and increasing their self-confidence.
I am also a wife. We met for the first time on my orientation day for graduate school and got married the day after I graduated with my Masters in Counseling Psychology. Fitting, right? He's a business owner and very successful. I am a dreamer, entrepreneur idea generator and emotionally driven. We often don't see eye to eye, laugh a lot, and fall in love with each other daily.
I grew up the Midwest and move to the West Coast for graduate school and now call beautiful Washington state home. Being away from my family is a difficult one even though I've been blessed with wonderful in-laws and are surrounded by their family. No one ever tells you how difficult it is to be away from your parents and siblings and you don't understand it until you live it.
I am a love of giraffes, all things purple and sparkly, and Starbucks. We will be best friends if you show up with an Iced Mocha. I used to blog a lot in college and fell out of it when life got busy. I am excited to get back into blogging and sharing about my life as a therapist and my views on therapy topics.
